2 Years in the making 150,000.00+ invested we finally have a few overruns from the first special contract of these. This contract over run has no logo on them for Special Squirrely reasons. The ones available later in 2023 will have logos.
We had hoped to have a full shipment of the civilian versions of this available but welcome to 2022. We are happy to be able to release a handful of contract overruns.
This knife came from the minds of Michael Donvito and Jack Nevils, based on the Grays Custom/Michael Donvito designed MDV fixed blade.
We collaborated with Bram Frank on the Bramph friction opening feature and are honored to do so.
There are 2 versions of this knife. Titanium body D2 steel blade and D2 body and D2 Blade. Find the Steel version on a different weblink.
This is a specialty folding knife for the serious person. This is a folding knife that both Jack and Mike believe is worthy of being called a personal protection knife.

You Tube videos made by Mike Donovito sold me on this model. I already owned a very similar concealable fixed blade just like the MDV plus One (hand forged in Texas called "the Hornet") But like a folder depending on what i'm wearing. i was using an "auto" folder made by one of famous companies, but found that it still takes me 0.5 second to open it's "Auto AXIS" upon withdrawal. I saw the triangle hook release and it works just as great as demonstrated on YouTube. it is high quality made, and the pivot feels like it has ball bearings (not sure if it does or not). I am very pleased and would recommend to others

I absolutely love the Mdv knives! The Mdv folder is the newest to my collection and I’ve been carrying it everyday since I got it.

First off the clip is installed like clips should be. Somebody put thought into it ..flawless opening without spring edge is exceptionally sharp. The knife is designed to stay in your hand… price point for a edc folder may seem high. But I quickly realized it is so well made that it’s under valued.. I’ve seen custom folders. That were higher and not as good as this.. my only wish is they would supply the correct size Allen wrench to fully disssasemble

Was looking to replace another brand I've had for the last decade with one that's a bit more "people" oriented, but still having a subdued narrative in the way it looks clipped in a pocket. I was getting directed towards fixed blades, but this fits the need while still being clipped in a pocket.

A perfect EDC folder. Small enough to carry easily while being plenty large enough to defend yourself. An excellent companion for its brother blade the MDV +1.

Great knife excellent edge and shape my only problem is that the window breaker fell off upon opening the package ? Hopefully you can send me a new one to screw in?

I have purchased five different blades from Scally wag, have had personal help when I had difficulty opening the DMV2, via phone calls and FaceTime. Scally wag personnel goes out of their way to help in every situation. I highly recommend them, besides the fact, their blades are excellent quality, and reasonably priced, which is rare these days.
I highly recommend their products!

Great knife. Makes a good addition to my daily carry. Lightweight enough to carry all day and easily deployed out of pocket. Fast and smooth opening action is awesome.
The only thing I would change is to have the frame lock on the left side of handle grip seeing as how I am right handed. Other than that, great knife. Perhaps somewhere down the road Scallywag Tactical may offer a larger version.

This folder is part of my EDC. Can’t love it enough. Ready to stake my life on it. Great piece of kit!

I particularly wanted this knife having trained with their trainer. Was on the waitlist for a while and recently received it. Great knife.

This blade is worth every penny! Check out Skallywag on YouTube for how to open the blade efficiently. The action is smooth and the knife is light. This is the best folder I have ever carried! It is now my everyday carry.

I lost my karambit fell out my pocket after I lost the belt clip. So the mdv folder is my new edc. I can clip it to my belt or my pocket.

Very nicely designed, ergonomically correct very well thought out, outstanding quality,
Functions equally in both standard and reverse grips,
My Emerson’s ZT ‘s Benchmades, and Spyderco’s are now in the drawer,
MDV folder is now my preferred EDC
Thanks for putting in the time and research to provide such a well rounded product.
Prices you are charging for your stuff is completely awesome!
Keep up the good work Skallywag!

I bought MDv folder (live and drone) when I saw the video of GM Bram Frank doing a review. I really like the design, shape of the blade, functionality and quality. It's a blade with an all around functionality in mind. The blade is razor sharp straight from the box. Irs design is brilliant for both cutting and poking. I love the hook on the butt end as it increases hold retention and protects your fingers from being injured when you use the window breaker. The handle fits well in the hand, whether us it in conventional or reverse hold, and you can still grip another object while holding it. I highly recommend it.

If you’re getting this awesome knife, do it justice and get the trainer. Couldn’t be happier

The fast deployability and perfect ergonomics of this well-conceived folder make it a great tool for self-defence. It’s a slim, sleeky slicer with smooth action on both opening mechanisms (flipper and wave feature), a reliable locking mechanism and versatile application options. It’s low weight and slim build enable unintrusive, concealed carrying in different positions, making the knife a perfect back-up weapon if things get dicey. The handle shape provides for a secure and comfortable forward grip in all main angles of attack and the blade shape is perfect for stabbing, slicing, and carving. Even closed, the folder functions very well as an effective impact weapon and can be used for all standard hammer and gunting techniques. While generally a useful feature, the glass breaker prevents a comfortable grip if the knife is held in reverse position (edge out). But since it is screwed, this problem can be resolved with a pair of pliers. Without the glass breaker the knife handles well in reverse position and feels comfortable, both with edge in and out. Numerous little details provide evidence of a thoughtful design, such as a small swell where the hook is connected to the end of the handle, which provides for a secure grip when the folder is quickly drawn out of a pants pocket. The flipper ensures that the knife stays closed until the wave feature catches the rim of the pocket. Great product!

Bought the fixed blade MDV+1 and fell in love. Bought the folder to make it easier to carry and all I can say is WOW. This has become my go to EDC pocket knife. Also picked up the folder trainer to make it feel more natural when deploying and using it. Amazing blade!!

Hands down the best fighting folder I’ve come across. From the big things to the little things, this knife checks the boxes and then some. The thought process that went into the design is second to none.

Awesome knife! Really smooth opening and razor sharp. Absolutely love it.

I love it. Cool design, good weight and shape. Has a smooth opening, though I recommend you practice with it slowly at first.
