Back in Black Knife set is a beautiful set of knives! The wood block stores the knives for easy and safe retrieval. Customer service was also quick to respond with a knife care question I had. The new kitchen knives and block are beautiful. Since I know Scallywag quality, I bought two sets and gave them away as presents to friends. I've used them several times and they are deadly sharp as a good knife should be expected. The knife in this picture is a similar Scallywag blade I use at my house. They all have beautiful patterns and razor sharp edges. Cheers !!

I never embellished myself with a new set of knives before. Always a present , used it hand-me-downs. Waited and waited on this then pulled the trigger with the sale price. Silly me. My husband had been wanting this knife set for a while so he was thrilled when he got them for Christmas. He’s a great cook and after receiving these knives, he’s taken it up a few more notches. I love these knives. They perform as you would expect. Just be sure not to use a dishwasher with them. The emblem will rust. But other than that small detail they are top notch.

I love the knives. But after my first wash in the dishwasher they rusted. I would be fine with that if they stated hand wash only. But nothing I seen said that. Overall happy with them. They just need to make that clear or fix the etching issues.
