The Grays Custom designed Skallywag Aculeus
This was one of the originals of the Skallywag line of blades back in the old shop. This without a doubt has always been our best EDC blade for all around use and carry.

Awesome blade! I can’t put this Bad Boy down! If you’re looking for stout, razor sharp EDC this is it.
Absolute work horse of a knife. This thing is built like a tank

This is my new fav edc! I own like6 Skallywag knives and they make a hell of a knife ! Great quality!! Great fast service! 5 stars again!check them out!
This blade is a bombproof professional grade cutting tool. The fit, finish and design quality are top shelf. The grip design and materials make this blade. If I have to be in a situation to trust my life to the performance of a blade this is one of my top picks for that job. I replaced a knife that was purpose built for a defensive role with this blade as my everyday carry blade. I really liked that other knife so that will tell you something about this blade. I actually carry this knife in a front pocket on the opposite side of my pistol so that i can draw the blade with my non-gun hand. The sheath is dummy corded with 550 cord to my belt loop just above my pocket. The blade is completely concealed in the front pocket. When I snatch the blade from the pocket the sheath is stripped away and dangles from the dummy cord. The deep jimpimg on the spine of the blade and the skull cracking pommel are great elements of the design. I bet I could crack a coconut with that pommel. Even though I consider this a defensive blade I have batoned it through a piece of dried oak that I test all of my blades on. The only thing that I dont like about the blade is the name. I cant pronounce it and I dont really care about the story behind it. Other than that it is a badass blade.
Dam good knife feels really good in hand.
Love the new blades these were my first purchase and there will be others both blades are durable and razor sharp
I just received my first Aculeus knife and have yet to deploy it into action, however the first impressions are that it's beautifully crafted in it's sleek and strong design. Blade is very nice and the weight and balance of the knife in hand are awesome.
Excellent blade, great customer service. The kydex sheath works well. Ultimately the best thing I can say is about how great the clip is that keeps the sheath in place
Bad ass blade. Another great job
This knife is my favorite, carry it everyday and use it constantly. I’m be done everything from cut boxes open and cut rope to slaughtering a lamb and skinning a bear! The D2 Tool steel is one of my favorites as it takes and holds an edge exceptionally well and resharpens easier than some of the fancier harder steels out there. Exceptional knife worth every penny.

Purchased three of these and one went down range and was USED without fail. These Aculeus' are GREAT blade.
Took this to the range today for the first time. It's hefty, balanced, and sharp. Did some simple prying and cutting green limbs from trees with no issue and no wear after it's day one test. Also, adapted to my rig well. Def recommend for those in the market for a beefy fixed blade.
Great knife, even better customer service Absolute love the knife. The feel and balance is second to none. The Sheath is great but it rode to high on my waste. I messaged customer service about buying an upgraded one or any recommendations for a 3rd party sheath. They didn’t message me or email me but Craig actually Called me to get all the details as what the problem was and how I wanted to use it. After his recommendation I was able to find additional clips from 3rd party vendors he recommended. I bought additional clips one that drops the knife about an inch for more comfort. After speaker to him, I learned how difficult it is to make a sheath that works for everyone and every occasion. Fortunately I was able to buy additional clips for Molle weave and when I wear it with a tactical belt rather than my EDC belt. Thanks a million Skallywag, I wear this thing every where I go.
Great knife What everyone else said about this one is true. Size, weight, razor sharp it checks all the boxes for a great EDC fixed blade. I got a grey blem version and honestly can't be happier with it. Bought on the 21st got it on the 24th (Christmas Eve) so the shipping and customer service folks did a great job getting it out the door. For the sheath it does the job it needs to good retention I can see people calling it cheap, but I'm not sure will beat on it a bit and see how it holds up. Overall very happy with the purchase.
Amazing knife crappy steath The knife is amazing like 100% awesome the sheath is good as well, but the 2 screw on the belt loop are horrible, for 200$ they could have definitely came up with a better belt loop design. Spent my money and happy but disappointed at the same time
Great blade/great price Beautiful blade and perfect for edc.
This my favorite blade! This blade is the perfect balance for a defensive blade, utility or as a hunting blade. It feels so good in your hand. It balances perfectly in your hand and the shape of the blade allows for so many different uses. I have been carrying this as my daily carry fixed blade for the last month and it never seems to disappoint me in my cutting needs! you will not go wrong with this blade!
