Tip blade has an edge like a butter knife (maybe) no real edge for cutting at all. I would like to return it. And exchange for a different design.

I bought the professional Guardian serrated,and it is a beast. Not for carving a turkey. It’s for deep trusting and it’s built like a tank. I’m a former Marine and a retired heat treater so I love a good knife and I know steel. I love D2. Harder than Chinese arithmetic but tough,not brittle. Wide spine with a deep concave grind to allow for more wigth in the spine. The point switches to a diamond point for added strength and mass. It’s a tank. Serrations are sharp but tough. It’s expensive but worth every penny as it is a remarkable design.Thank you Skaallywag This one is a winner!

This is an amazing tactical blade! Fastidiously designed and meticulously crafted for just one use. Watching what MDV does to those roasts with one of these beauties is awe inspiring and a wee bit frightening. I love this knife!

Its a solid blade. I actually got it for the ability to make a spear head of necessary as i already carry two Skallywag blades daily. I love design, feels good in my hand, very well made ... and they are located locally, 10 minutes from me. I love a local business!

I had superb luck via eBay, this guy was selling this Skallywag Tactical Serrated Guardian [The True $650 Military version!!] for $250 and I bought it for $175! As for the Dagger, it’s sharper than a razor and the point’s supporting design runs within .25” of it’s tip… I’ve had this for approximately 3-Months & it’s perfection in form and function. I’m happy about this buy, yet I would’ve bought it for it’s full price knowing what I do about it! This is a weapon I’ll NEVER part with.🇺🇸
Awesome, very nice weapon. Waiting on the grey Guardian to be in stock so I can put it on my Tac Vest. I have the FDE Guardian and three D2 daggers and will still be buying more Skallywag items. Highly recommended.
Well it was one hell of a wait since ordering in December, thanks Cali. However not the fault of the great crew at Skallywag! Want to make that perfectly clear. If you are a knife/blade guy or gal these knives and daggers are extremely well designed. Made from high quality materials at an unbeatable price. I carry a fixed blade and dagger everyday for self defense. If you're looking for a blade you can bet your life on. Only4 stars because of the sheath. The knife doesn't go in it unless turned a certain way and the plastic is thin. The belt clip sticks out too much, but that's my personal preference. The knife itself is awesome.

This knife does not appear to have been sharpened. Was this an oversight or is it deliberately left dull? I like the blade as a whole as it is similar in capability to the Benchmade SOCP, but I think the size is superior to the benchmade.
This feels fantastic in my hand, naturally centers and pivots with ease. I’m also impressed with the holster build and retention. My hope was to carry this handle down and I have zero qualms in doing so.
I thought the blade edges would be sharp, but it can’t be help. Not a complaint, the tip is very thick so it wouldn’t be possible to be sharp. All and all, very good design. The holster is great too.

The Guardian is one fearsome blade. One that is hefty in the hand and needs to be handled with care and respect. Pictures on the internet do not do it justice. The moment you actually see it and put it in your hand you just know. In the hands of a trained user this blade must be terrifying - it is utterly savage. It’s also really different. My personal opinion is that any new owner MUST watch the video on you tube or take a course from Mike Don Vito in order to learn how to use it properly. I also have an MDV Plus One - in my opinion they are both superb. Both blades are extremely well designed, thought out and executed by Mike Don Vito and Skallywag Tactical.
Customer service was awesome. The wrong knife was sent originally and they took care of it and the right one was sent quick. Communication was great and they even talked during the holiday. I am very happy with this company and their products. I will be buying from them again.
D2 dagger on steroids! This will poke and slice, always a good thing.
It is pretty rad... aside from the extra large loop. Had this followed the pattern of all these other knives and had a single finger loop it would have been the best damn thing on the planet. It is incredibly well made as is all their stuff but that loop makes it extra uncomfortable and unwieldy. There is literally no comfortable way to hold it, I couldnt imagine trying to use it to fight it would slip all over the place and that is 100% not a blade you want to slip your hand on.
Great knife. Solid handle, sharp blade out of the box, exact size I needed. The color is exactly what I wanted. A knife worth owning.
