I have several Skallywag knives and the Sao Feng did not disappoint! The blade opens very smoothly and in precise fashion. This is a nice addition to my collection.

Description
Introducing the Sao Feng Knife by Skallywag Tactical, a remarkable fusion of tradition and innovation. This exceptional blade features a modified tanto scandi grind that pays homage to its Asian roots, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional superiority. The tanto shape is not just visually striking; it boasts a curved edge that excels in piercing and slicing, making it ideal for a variety of tasks. Named after the legendary pirate Sao Feng, known for his unconventional fighting strategies, this knife embodies agility and precision, ensuring that it performs brilliantly in any encounter—whether in the urban jungle or the great outdoors.
Crafted from high-quality 420 stainless steel, the Sao Feng Knife offers superior corrosion resistance and durability, ensuring that it withstands the rigors of everyday use while retaining its sharp edge over time. The tumbled black PVD coating not only enhances its stealthy appearance but also adds an extra layer of protection, preventing scratches and wear. The robust black G10 knife scales provide excellent grip and comfort, making the knife ergonomic and easy to handle, regardless of the conditions. G10 is renowned for its strength and lightweight properties, ensuring that this knife is both sturdy and manageable, which is particularly beneficial when performing precise cutting tasks.
The Sao Feng Knife incorporates a reliable liner lock mechanism, a design that originated from the need for security and functionality in folding knives. This mechanism allows for one-handed operation, ensuring quick access when needed and providing a secure lockup during use. Coupled with an extra strong satin finish pocket clip, this knife can be easily carried and accessed without compromising on style or functionality. Whether you’re an avid outdoorsman, a tactical user, or simply appreciate fine craftsmanship, the Sao Feng Knife by Skallywag Tactical is a testament to quality and versatility, capturing the essence of its namesake and delivering an unmatched experience in every cut.

Absolutely love the blade geometry, the sharpness out of the box and the fast action of the knife. It looks fast sitting still!!! Have had lots of compliments about the knife and the “where did you get that it’s Bad ass” another great knife. I would love to see an upgrade version in a better steel . Keep up the work Captain!!!!
This is an excellent knife. I bought it mostly because the aesthetic aspect appeals to me. It is a cool looking knife. On top of that, it is an excellent blade. I carry as a work knife now. My only comment is that I wouldn’t pick this as a first line “defense” knife. Once the blade is deployed, it would be formidable, but it isn’t really a quick deploying knife. (I am comparing it to my MDV1 which is better for that use.) The pocket clip, combined with the rough texture of the grip makes it VERY secure. It will not fall out. It takes some effort to get it out. I actually prefer carrying it completely in my pocket. I get a better grip and more reliable “index” for deploying the blade. In a secondary roll for defense, this seems to be a better way. It comes out more smoothly as well. I’ll probably remove the pocket clip. Overall, an excellent knife.
Handles very well! Sharp out of the box and holds an edge. The grip texture helps a lot when your hands get sweaty, a non negotiable feature when you work in the heat and humidity. It's my new EDC!
Smooth and solid. Feels good in the hands.
Another awesome knife from Skallwag Tactical
An excellent EDC! Razor sharp , well balanced, good hand space, perfect weight, unique design, and prompt delivery. Couldn’t ask for more.
This beautifully crafted Sao Feng Tanto folder has quickly become a mainstay in my everyday carry. From cutting boxes, straps to cutting food for the day, it has performed exceptionally well. Great weight in hand and aggressive blade make this a true winner. Thank you.
The blade is a perfect size for EDC carry. There's no wiggle in the blade, nothing rattles in the handle, and even for my massive hands it fits comfortably.
I was skeptical when ordering this knife. I really like the shape but wasn’t sure of the quality. Most knives under $100 aren’t up to a standard that I prefer. However, when I receive the knife, I was surprised of how high of a quality it actually was. Most of the knives I have are at least double this price and although it’s not the standard of a $200-$300 folding knife, it is very high-quality. I would definitely buy this knife again.
Great knife,
420 steel is a very low-grade steel and is not worth $85 at all.
My new edc for sure! Very smooth to open and rock solid lock up!! The grip is sure and the handle is beefy and fills the hand well! Excellent knife!!!
Love the blade shape. Very happy with the quality and build of this knife. It's an honor to support a veteran owned business. More orders to come!
Awesome knife!
Love the design of the knife. Only complaint is action is super tight. I'm hoping it will break in some and open smoother.
Love this knife very sleek, weight is great and unique from other knives I’ve owned

420 steel, G10 handle, $85? Not worth so much…
It is amazing. Super cool blade shape. The handle feels amazing.
