This is the MDV Rhino Sheath.
comes with 2 Ranger bands installed.
This sheath does not come with or is designed for attachments.

Not bad sheath/slip. Trained with it using the trainer blade and live. It seems as though when it grabs the horn it causes the blade to move downward and not completely remove itself from the sheath. I have to make sure I pull at a particular angle to remove it completely.
Other than that, nice sheath. I can move the live blade around safe in the knowledge that my body parts are safe. Oh, and it is a quiet draw. Nice.

I carry one or the other for my EDC. I like the aluminum blade when I’m wearing gym short. Don’t even know it’s there because it’s so light. When I’m wearing a belt I go with the Damascus since it’s a little heavier. I prefer the rhino sheath It will catch a pocket or belt loop when drawing it. Great blades. I have 5 of them and two of the daggers. Also great in its own way. But that would be another review

Really appreciate the opportunity to get an extra sheath for the MDV trainer. The way that The Rhino will catch on the horn to unsheath the knife is a masterpiece of sheath design. A great little sheath all around. I can’t recommend it enough.

The rhino sheath is definitely a must-have you can get away with using the flat sheet that comes with the MDV plus one however, it was designed specifically to be used with the rhino sheath… if you purchase the training from Michael Donvito on elite you you will know the reason for the rhino sheet. Please keep in mind that this MDV plus one was designed for a specific purpose “people opening” so training is a must spend a little more pick up their rhino sheath, trainer MDV and online classes you will not regret it!!!

I bought two rhino sheaths, one for the live blade and one for the trainer. One of them is a little bit smaller and the way it opens is a little different due to manufacturing, but they both still work perfectly! Initially I thought that you can only carry it on a belt, but while it does work best that way, you can carry it in your pocket (if you drag the horn across the fabric of your pocket as you take the blade out, it’ll release the knife and the sheath falls back in) and even hook it on the drawstrings of any pants, and it stays completely secure! I also love how you can open on anything that the horn can catch on, including body parts i.e. the arm of an aggressor that you’re currently grappling with. 100 percent recommend, great product.

Excellent product. Fits perfectly with my knife and trainer which allows for realistic training. Great construction and, as advertised, the design allows you multiple carry options. Love Skallywag Tactical products…great price point and quality!
Johnny J.
I love this sheath! With it you can literally hide the mdv plus behind your belt with your shirt tucked in and nobody will notice, then you can whip out the mdv fast and deliver! Highly recommend this sheath!
Harry M.
Functions precisely as advertised. Excellent!
Roger B.
Rhino sheath makes it so easy to just put in your pocket and carry. I have been working on pulling the knife with and without the sheath. It is comforting knowing I could use as a weapon with the sheath and not always having to cut or stab someone. Excellent thought out product.
Sean D.
Love how slim it is!
James S.
So much butter than the stock sheath. So much more capabilities in carry and usage.
Richard A.
Love the knife and the stealthiness of it and with this new kydex holster, PERFECTION, thanks looking forward to my next purchase with Skallywag

As with all Skally Wag makes. This is well thought out.
I like that the sheath seconds as a non lethal impact/pain compliance device. I just had some issue's
Getting used to putting the blade back in the sheath
at first. I got it right now! wearing the sheath tucked under the belt loop. is a game changer.!!!! The 3 rules of blade weapon use is #1 draw it fast, #2 strike fast
#3 be accurate. with the combination of MDV+1 and the Rhino sheath . with practice all 3 can be accomplice Who would of known that a sheath could make such a big impact/improvement in your ability to defend your self and love ones in the time of need
Now go and drink your grog and get your self some Skally Wag loot. OR walk the plank and deep 6 when your other sheath fails you
Dick J.
Still working with it, haven’t had it that long. Seems to be good quality!
Kristopher C.
Definitely a must have if you're gonna get the mdv..
Michael G.
Helps conceal and does its job well.
Dominic A.
If you're buying the MDV +1 to carry daily you NEED this sheath. It stays nice and snug on my ccw belt, stays inconspicuous with just a t-shirt over it, and is extremely comfortable. I feel like this is how this blade is meant to be carried.
Ryan K.
This sheath is amazing. Super low profile. Very versatile. Low profile when wearing. All in all, awesome product
Gary K.
Great addition to the knife, perfect way to carry and draw.
James C.
I bought the knife, the trainer and the sheath and I am impressed with each. Love the self-defense concept behind the design. The monkey tape made it a custom grip for my hand and the knife itself is comfortable to wear.
Chris W.
Works great with the plus one for behind the belt carry
Irma T.
I preferred this sheath over the one that came with the MDV because of the easy catch hook for quick deployment.
Joshua M.
Sheath is a bit too tight for the blade plus if you pull downwards towards the edge it scrapes the inside due to the blades shape
Enzo S.
Great sheath, when the blade is in it and I appendix carry, it's comfortable and I can barely feel it. One slight issue may be the durability of the rubber bands on the blade as one is starting to tear on mine. But overall it's solid and compact sheath, a wise purchase indeed.
Jeffrey G.
The Rhino sheath is a good addition for the mvd plus one. It just gives me different carrying options.
Bill G.
Really love the minimalist MDv1 and both sheathes. You can tuck this shiv on steroids anywhere. I use the standard sheath with a para cord lanyard for a neck knife or tying off for quick deployment from clothing or equipment similar to a trigger guard for a pistol. Out of the box, I find the Rhino sheath has more retention which is not always a plus depending where you are wearing it. Rhino sheath is the go-to for situations involving high physical activity due to retention. Of course you can modify things to your liking. Nice to have both sheaths as it allows options. Thanks again for this thoughtfully designed piece of kit.
Gary R.
Works great, if and only if, you have a good sturdy and rigid gun belt.
Any other type of belt, and it WILL slip out the bottom.
Highly suggest using lanyard or hooking it around the belt itself, if you insist on using a normal belt.
Would very much like to see a combination of the 2 available sheaths, allowing you to hook it around the beltloop, and clip it to the belt at the same time, to prevent it slipping out at any possible point.
But specifically not have the clip longer than half the width of the average belt, this would also retain the nonlethal option of the Rhino Sheath, while no longer requiring a lanyard, and being more modular.

Great sheath for EDC. Well planned and executed. Customer service (Craig) rocked. Told me exactly what I needed to know up front and saved me a couple bucks in the process. Just a matter of waiting for the product to come in off of backorder and ship.
I would definitely re-purchase the MD+1 and this extra sheath if I ever lost 'em.
Good job!!
ROBERT H.
Wearing the knife and sheathe behind the belt buckle requires me to cinch the belt one notch tighter; by the end of the day it is uncomfortable. Until I can think of a better way to wear it, it will do.
Walter S.
I have been waiting on this sheath to be back in stock and to be delivered and it was well worth the wait. I put it to use in my rotation it really aids in concealment, I ran it with my uniform.
Tyler J.
Awesome product, awesome company. Great customer service.
Randol B.
EXCELLENT addition to the MDV Knife. It really works, and works well for this fat, out of shape old Redneck. IT IS NOT JUST A GIMICK! If you want to carry the knife, get the Rino sheath.
Andrew S.
Was rly kinda skeptical about this holster since there is no mechanical connection that keeps it on you belt/loop but i gave it a try and was impressed by how well it not only conceals the knife when appendix carrying but also by how comfortable it was. I was even more so impressed by the fact it stayed in place after drawing the knife out of the sheath. This is a hidden gem buy if you get the mdv 1 blade and a nice option for appendix carry
Greg L.
Get an extra. It will be used a bunch if used correctly. When the other one is lost there will be happy thoughts when you pull out the extra.
Jack C.
I'm thrilled that Scallywag sells this well built sheath for the unique MDV. THE RINO sheath is solid and holds the knife securely. It also has reinforced holes so that it can hang from anything you have available, like your neck.
I do wonder why the horn is at the top of the blade. I may be doing all of this wrong, but the sheath sometimes slips out of my pocket along with the knife even when I try to catch the top of pants or jean pockets. If the horn was on the bottom of the blade, it would catch more consistently on pants pocket material just like the Emerson hook does.

This is the sheath you need. The other one is fine enough, but this one is where it really shines. Trust.
Dustin M.
As someone who prefers fixed-blades to folders, this is the single most comfortable way i’ve ever carried a knife.
Almost too comfortable in that i regularly forget that i have it on me and briefly panic that i forgot to grab it on my way out the door.
John B.
Best self defense knife and sheath I have ever own! I appendix carry it In the belt loop every day and always forget it’s there. I got the knife, sheath, tape, and subscribed to Elite You and have been training every day with it. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!
Brian E.
I love the concept and special purpose sheath, I thought this was the ticket I’ve been looking for. However, the rhino horn stabs me in the stomach fairly often and I can not conceal the handle parallel under my duty belt.
Robert S.
I thought I'd be able to make this sheath work for EDC, but I have a somewhat different carry situation because I can't wear a belt for long periods. This is a really nice, well-made sheath, but I still haven't quite figured out how to work it into a waistline, crossdraw carry w/o belt. I was looking into mounting using an UltiClip but, sadly, cannot get two mounting points in-line for it. Oh well, I'll either figure something out or I won't. Still, I like this sheath. Or at least the idea of it. Definitely a very cool solution for those folks who can wear a belt regularly.
Robert David E.
Really like the sheath, however the blade can come through the top back section since there is no rivet.
Michael P.
It gives me another option on how I carry.
Edward T.
Amazingly engineered, Mr. Donvito has definitely saved one life, mine. The misinformation and mainly false sense of actual skill, aptitude and how truly important it is to always be pressure testing myself.
The Rhino sheath is truly a small but effective offensive and defensive item in itself...MDV-1 is best blade I have ever owned. Definitely grab the bundle and or a trainer separately. Follow the Youtube vids and realize how much you don't realize how little you know...you know what I mean:) ?
Steve K.
Works Awesome !!
Lee M.
This mdv rhino sheath is a great extension, very useful and a must have item for that mdv plus one knife.
Adam D.
Amazing sheath, literally a game changer hidden behind my belt hooked to my belt loop! Can't even feel it's there!
Kris L.
Perfectly paired with MDV. Small but well constructed. Very versatile.
PATRICK C.
Love the idea and the concept is solid allowing for creative ways to carry.
If you decide to get the blade spend the extra money and get this sheath as well.
Allan H.
All business. Not for practice. I should have bought it when it came with the red training blade. Yes it's pricier to get it with a trainer, but I don't want to whip this around without training.
Lee B.
I love the whole concept of the mdv. I really enjoy tralning with the trainer during my workouts with the trainer. gj guys
