This knife hides nicely in the hand and has a nice quick deployment. It is something to get used to to open such a small knife, compared to the privateer, but opens easily with a little practice.

Couldn’t be more pleased, considerably better than what you’ll get off the shelf. Definitely recommend

Although it has a smooth surface making gripping challenging, the quality of this little knife packs great precision and craftsmanship, and is quite durable. Good little handy knife!

I recently picked up the Skallywag Mini Jack knife and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed. The blade is super sharp and durable, and I can tell that it's made from high-quality materials. It's become my go-to for everyday tasks. The handle feels really comfortable, and the quick-opening mechanism is a big plus, especially when I'm in a rush. That being said, I do have one suggestion for improvement. The pocket clip is currently tip-down, and I'd personally prefer it to be tip-up for easier access and a more secure fit in my pocket. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something I'd love to see in future models. Overall, I'd definitely recommend the Skallywag Mini Jack knife. It's reliable, practical, and easy to carry around. A few tweaks to the pocket clip and it would be perfect.

A little disappointed with my last purchase as it is very difficult to open quickly.

This is my second Mini Jack. I absolutely love it. My first one the lock mechanism stopped working after a couple months, I'm hoping that this was just an anomaly and my second one lasts a bit longer. It holds a great edge, and it is easy to sharpen.

I love the mini-Jack! It's small, sharp and comfortable to wear clipped to your jeans pocket. I liked it so much, I bought three more! I use it at work and everyone who sees it wants one. Several co-workers have purchased one for themselves. It has an assisted spring so opening it is a breeze. Get one or four while you can!

Updated review - my first review was when I opened it and my initial thoughts. I have been using the every day since I got it,cutting through all kinds of material while working on a project, the assisted open is phenomenal, opening and closing this knife with gloves on is effortless and the bend at the opening of the pocket clip is just right so I can slip it right back onto my pocket without fumbling. This knife definitely is heavier than one would expect but for me it is the perfect EDC, perfect size for what I need from a pocket knife,if I need anything bigger, that's what the fixed blade on my belt is for. Today I was putting some zip ties on my jeep as one does, and while cutting the tail off, the blade made contact with the axle and got a slight knick in the blade, came right out with my Lansky puck and even after everything I've cut with it, it's still as sharp as it was out of the box. Thanks, Skallywag tactical!

Nice, smooth working knife. Comes sharp not razor but sharp that will easily get the job done. This knife is well worth the price at regular price let alone the sale price, awesome deal. If you like a small carry pocketknife as I do, then get this one and save yourself some money.

Perfect EDC!! Bought several as gifts & had to keep one for my collection.

This is a handy little knife. Craftsmanship is better than I expected for a $9. The spring assist is snappy but allows for one hand open and closing. It came with a very sharp edge also. Really the only downside is that it's a bit heavy for its size. Very pleased with this knife.

The quality of this knife has surpassed my already high expectations of Skallywag tactical. This is my first blade from them and dang is it nice! I look forward to getting my next one.

The Mini jack knife is excellent!! was more then I expected for sure. very easy to open with one hand and close. feels comfortable in hand. well balanced and sharp. The Mini jack fits nicely in the pocket, slim design so you can still have excess to your pocket. Belt clip work as it should easy to clip in the pocket also easy removal. I've bought four or five of these over a year or three. They're small enough for use in Fed facilities and save my Privateers for serious use. Love 'em!

If anyone doesn’t own one of these, they are missing out. And for that price? In all my years owning knives and using them, this blade is easily one of the best I’ve ever owned. Quality, craftsmanship, functionality, all of it.

Quick and fast delivery and sharp

Great knife for the money. Should an edge and easy to keep sharp. I've abused it a good bit and it's held up well. Only complaint is the lock sticks and can be rough to close. Almost seems like it has a burr on it that needs sanded down.

Got this for my significant other as she has smaller hands and loves knives. I showed her a picture of it and she is super excited for it.

I carry the mini jack on the boat while im fishing. From cutting line to fine cuts on baits, it's works and stays sharp. Love it.

Hit of the party! I bought one of these for our annual Christmas Eve gift game where everyone buys something in the $25 range and we draw names and open gifts in sequence. The hook of the game is the person who is opening a gift can either steal a previously opened gift or take one from the pile. This knife was opened 4th (of 15) and was the ONLY one that got "stolen" all the way through to the end of the game. On our way home, my husband said "I was hoping I'd end up with that knife". I told him if I knew that, I would have bought two!

WHAT A GREAT KNIFE Got this at its sale price of 21 bucks. I thought “what have you got to lose for that price?” Well let me tell you, I couldn’t be happier! It’s a very elegant knife in a matte fun metal grey. Put a little lube on the knife axis pivot points and this thing is buttery smooth and lightning quick. I can’t stress how cool this little knife is! I whole heartedly recommend to anyone, even at full price of 35 bucks. Believe me, it’s a steal! Great job Cap’n and Skallywag crew!!

Great knife especially for the price Great knife. Came out of the box sharp. Sharpened it a bit more myself just to make sure. First test it had was gutting a deer. Zipped through it easy, took only about 5-10 minutes. Felt good in the hand while cutting and the blade never dulled. The knife cleaned up easy under hot water. Overall great knife so far.

Perfect!!! So I purchased this knife because it was more “elegant than the Buck I’ve carried every day for the last 17yrs. I still carry my Buck at work but the Mini Jack is for more out and about edc. It’s clean lines, razor edge and amazing finish make me want to show it off to friends. And another bonus, even though it’s dimensions are nearly identical to my Buck, it’s actually a little thinner which means less bulk/visibility in my pocket!!! Definitely a must have!

Excellent little blade I bought my Mini Jack when they first dropped and I've been using it ever since for daily tasks. The blade is still sharp, it's small enough that you completely forget you have it in your pocket, and best of all its's a Skallywag! HIGHLY recommend this blade if you carry a knife on you for daily tasks and want something on the smaller side. It's a perfect utility blade imo.

Nice little assisted flipper Very well made, especially at this price point. Sharp! I use it daily at work, leaving my Privateer for more demanding use. Solid lock up, no wobble. Three design issues with the Mini - 1) the pocket clip is upside-down and not reversible. It takes a bit of fumbling to orient it in my hand before I can open it. 2) the thumb studs on the blade are useless (insufficient leverage to open the blade!) and in the way. I'll grind 'em off when I get around to it. 3) the tit protruding from the spine used to flip the blade open could be slightly longer to afford better leverage. For $20, this is the slickest assisted flipper you'll find anywhere. I bought two!

Nice budget folder. First impressions on the Mini Jack are that it is a very well made knife at this price point. I have had more expensive knives that were not as well made. The lock seems very solid.
