The legendary Gunnersmate. This blade was designed for removing limbs... Trees or otherwise with a full 1/4" thick spine this blade can handle almost anything you throw at it. You will not find a better "Now that's a knife" knife.

An altogether excellent knife! I have seen it compared to the knife used in Crocodile Dundee, a copy of which I also have, but the Gunnersmate is much better balanced. It also appears to be practically indestructible, being made of 1/4 inch D2 steel. I think that it will the perfect companion for a walk in the woods, not too heavy to wear on your belt, but stout enough to handle any use that a knife might be put to.

Next - Hunter - Just what the name implies, Excellent for removing the Backstrap from your deer.
The rest over to the left are used as EDC as well.
The Bad Fish is Badass for carving anything.

Gunnersmate Reground Blem.
I think I got the one with a tip issue instead. However the " "tip issue" was so slight that you hardly notice it. It's still pokey. Processed a chuck roast with this bad boy.
Was looking at an ESEE 6 but this fella was calling my name.

First of all, I feel like Crocodile Dundee…”that’s not a knife, this is a knife!” Although it’s larger and my hands aren’t the biggest, it doesn’t feel too big. Weight and balance feel good to me. I’m a sucker for deals and can’t stay away from Skallywag Tactical! The knives I’ve purchased have all been top quality and I’ll keep coming back for more!!

An excellent knife, good balance and weight. sheath is great and fits well. I have not had the opportunity to use it out camping yet but did have a play in the garden, razor sharp out of the box and splits wood well.

I've been eying. the gunner's mate for some time, And finally decided to purchase one. As of this writing I'm keeping it for home protection but I can't rule out using it for another purpose. It is one fine looking blade and the quality is top rate. I look forward to getting the Boarding Axe and when restocked the Bounty eventually.

Just inherited a 160 acre property and I am constantly needing a knife and that gunners mate is perfect. I have used it on 4X4’ round bales, snakes, limbs, tractor clean ups, cutting weeds at gun range and many more.

Awesome knife very well designed and very well made. One improvement I would say is that the bottom of the handle scales there a four 90deg sharp corners they are uncomfortable with heavy use if you don’t wear gloves. I just took a round file and then some sandpaper and rounded off those sharp edges. Now the knife is perfect!

Was on the fence about bounty or gunners mate ,got the mate due to size difference,for carry reason,but guess what this thing is huge and sharp ,the sheath is great also ,comes in this great box (if doing gift ,whole thing very thought out ) can’t say enough about this knife ,for price it is awsome,will get bounty .wife told me to get what I wanted for Father’s Day ,happy Father’s Day too me ,love this ,get one for your dad,next Father’s Day getting bounty (may be sooner),happy Father’s Day too all the dads out there.

Should I complain or shut up??
I bought my Gunners Mate as a "Blem" and when it arrived the only "Blem" I could see was a corner and side panel of the black box it arrived in.
I had to poor a glass and light up a cigar to study the blade itself.
I think I found the "Blem" but it sure is small.
Give it a year, I'll show you some "Blem's"

Best knife I’ve ever owned but the handle is so small, and my hands aren’t even that big for a guy who’s 6’1”. Still a great knife and sweet presentation with the box as well

I've owned a lot of knives and forged a few for myself. This is a well designed blade. The balance is good. The handle does a great job of keeping it in your hand. It does a good job of holding an edge. If I had to come up with any negatives, it would be the scallops on the handle scales are rather sharp edged and I personally would prefer a bit more texture on the scales.
Overall this is a great knife if you need a big blade.

Had high hopes for this as it’s made of good materials. Thick spine, good edge, but has a steak-knife handle that seems to be designed for a small woman’s hands. I’ll take a file to it to bevel the edges and maybe add some grip tape to attempt to salvage. Sale price and discount was good, but not a stand out.

Impressive isn't a strong enough word for this blade. If you're in the market for a Bushcraft knife or just like the heft of a huge fixed blade, this is the one you want. Exceptional quality and value. Definitely a plus in my collection.

This was my first "big" knife from Skallywag Tactical. My first impression was "WHOA!" Same as everyone else's when it shows up to the party. Got a big hog you need to quarter up, not problem.
