The Skallywag Boarding Ax
Inspired by an early 1500s Pirate Boarding Ax and designed by Grays Custom.
This is a utility ax. The spike is made for penetrating and breaching.
The ax face is made for cutting but is a wider geometry than what you would find on a tomahawk which increases its strength.
At 2.95 pounds, 19.75″ long and almost 1/2″ thick this is a formidable tool for the everyday Outdoorsman, Military and SAR personnel.

4Cr14MoV stainless. This steel is developed based on 4Cr13 steel by adding more elements Chromium, Molybdenum and Vanadium.
It’s excellent in wear resistance, anti corrosion and high hardness we however have heat treated this to the lower range of HRC.
Scale is G-10 and will have our standard inset texture down the length of the scale.
Comes with kydex blade cover.

This axe is an absolute beast! At a 1/2 thick it's got plenty of heft, and the sharp bits are absolutely lethal. It'll tackle any job you may have for an axe, from rescue, to splitting wood, or fighting off a zombie horde. I cannot recommend this wonderful tool enough! Get one!

I love this Boarding Axe. It’s phenomenally well built and heavier than expected. My only issue with this is the sheath that comes with it. I’d love to see an upgrade made available. My collection of the Skallywag line of blades is almost complete now.

This thing is a beast. Hard to think of a “practical” use for it, but that has never stopped me from falling in love. It’s a work of art, a solid, well built tool that is way cooler than the pictures do it justice.
Any man that has ever held a sword and felt that urge to charge screaming at a line of pike men will understand why they need to buy one of these. It awakens my inner Viking. Just buy one and thank me later!

I love this thing! It crushes wood splitting with ease! I’ve used it to extricate stuck car doors and it begs for more! I only had to throw a quick edge after banging it over 30 times on a vehicle to open up different parts! That spike still original! It’s amazing what this thing can take! This is hands down one of the best tools out there for your pirates life!

Worth every penny
This is now my new favorite tool. The boarding axe is insanely powerful. I split oak logs with it. Then after it was split I hit the same log laying flat and blew it apart. I can’t tell you how impressed I am. The blade holds up beautifully. The spike is very durable. I buried it In A log and had to twist it to get it out. There was no damage at all. This is my new favorite tool of all time. I was able to buy this on sale so if you happen to see it on sale grab this thing because I would consider it a good value even at full price. I love the craftsmanship! Thanks to the awesome makers.
