Bought three of these as gifts for my crew. Very well received and up to the usual quality and craftsmanship I’ve come to expect from Scallywag. I have several of their knives and daggers, all top notch. They come from the factory super sharp and the spring open/close is very snappy. One of my guys snapped it shut and didn’t get his finger out of the way. Left a mark (I’ll leave it at that-required a bit of cleanup). Rookie mistake but speaks to the edge right out of the box. Told him that every gun is loaded and every blade is sharp. Start off with that and you’ll be a lot safer. Ordering another one for myself and one to keep in my truck in the event I find someone who deserves a beautiful, compact, well made folder.

Marine approved !! This is what the wahoo can do with it's 90 degree spine. Also it does great food prep as well as fuz sticks for fire starting. This is an Outstanding tool outdoors or at work.

Sharp out of the box, love the shape and handle material. Cuts very well. Recently was biking in Guatemala back country and decided to take the Wahoo among other essentials, great for peeling sugar cane, cutting fruit meat etc. I have several of your knives, keep up the great work. Great value!

Better than I thought for 35 bucks. The handle is great, the micarta was well done full steel liners and the blad was centered very well. The machining on the spine of the blade was very sharp and it could have spent some time in a tumbler to dehorn. This would be a great blade to make with some higher end steel.

Came out of the box very sharp! For the price, this is an excellent edc knife. The axis style lock makes it easy to operate with one hand and the included deep carry pocket clip makes this a perfect knife to keep in your pocket everyday.

I use this knife at work every day, comes sharp out of the box and sharpens up easy. I have ordered dozens of these and the Mako, I keep a couple on hand for last minute gifts. I couldn't be happier with these knifes.

Great EDC knife, sharp right out of box!

About what you would expect for a cheaper knife. I’m a lefty and it’s right hand carry only. Not a big deal as most lefties already know the struggle. The grip feels cheap but good. It was pretty sharp out of the box but not for long. After a drop of gun oil, the ball bearings are smooth as silk. It’s a great option for people like myself who always manage to lose my knives and don’t want to lose a $300 benchmade again.

A solid piece of work. Great for general work while also quite adequate for self defense. An excellent buy for the price.

I normally don’t carry folders. I prefer a blade to be fixed. I ordered the Wahoo on an impulse when the MDV sheath was back in stock. This is the best folding knife I have ever used, or seen friends use. The craftsmanship is top notch and the blade is sharp. It one hand opens and closes. The lock mechanism is substantial and gives me confidence to use the blade as I would a fixed blade. It’s not my grandfathers old timer, it’s better. Pick one up to add to your EDC!

Awesome EDC folding knife. The ergonomics are superb, the blade arrived sharp, and the lock is phenomenal. It’s good to see that “affordable” doesn’t have to replace “quality”.

I first found your site on Instagram and the two blades I purchased after visiting your site were the Mini Jack and 2 Wahoos. The mini Jack was for my daughter who is in a chair due to spinal cord injury. I wanted her to have a blade that she could gouge out the eyes of an attacker if needed. She chose the Mini Jack folder over a Spartan Tactical folder. She knows a good knife when she sees it. As for the Wahoos, they are my favorites. I have purchased 8 of them so far and blessed many a friend with one of these spectacular blades. The Axis lock works far smoother on the Wahoo than the parent blade it was derived from. The smooth ball bearing pivot is Butter. So slick and no blade play. For those looking for a new EDC or collector aficionados, spend the 30 bucks and get your new favorite!

Great blade for the price. Customer service is top-notch awesome EDC. Axis lock was a little loose upon arrival but a quick adjustment fixed it solid!

I bought this knife as a test purchase, since i keep hearing DA Roberts praise of the Scallywag company. I can now say that I stand 100 percent behind his opinion that you guys make the best reasonable priced knives. I paid a quarter of what my Boker cost and I will never buy from them again. Your knives quality blows them out of the water. Great knives and great craftsmanship looking forward to purchasing another.

Bought this knife to replace my edc knife. It is a beautifully classic and simple knife. It doesn't scream tactical and the blade is perfect. I use this as my daily knife over a spyderco Enduro I've have for several years. The price point was spot on and plan on getting some for my sons soon.

Since I found Scalleywag Tactical, I have purchased (8) very fine knives from them. The Wahoo is my new EDC blade. This is a man size knife. I have a size 10 hand and this knife fits me perfectly. The blade length and style are just the right length and design for everyday chores or a last ditch self defense component. Zero blade play and the bearing pivot allows the blade to swing out as if it’s an assist opening blade. I actually purchased (6) of these I love them so much. Two were given as cherished gifts and two were sold to a dear friend. The last two will remain in my possession till I wear them out. Best knife purchase I’ve ever made for the money spent! Please make more of these! I’m buying!

I purchased 2 Wahoos and one other small blade. Received them and loved the Wahoo so much, I ordered 4 more to gift at Christmas. The knife is wonderful! The fit, function, feel, are that of a much more expensive blade. I never liked the axis lock on the benchmade, but on the Wahoo it functions flawlessly! Great job gentlemen! My new EDC is the Wahoo! Great name on all accounts too. The fish and the exclamation!

First knife I bought, it was the reason I bought 2 more!

I was looking to replace my edc pocket knife and was really looking at a few other makers in the $100+ range, but honestly couldn't justify it. Once this one popped up for $45 I had to pull the trigger. This is my third Skallywag tactical knife and I have to say they don't disappoint in any form. This knife came sharp has stayed sharp, the blade is a very nice size for edc pocket knife (but I have gorilla hands) the scales are comfortable in the hand. Once you break it in a bit it's smooth as butter to open. Shipping is still really fast also, the staff in the warehouse are crazy good or really bored.

I absolutely love the knife. Opens smooth and is very sharp. But the screws for the belt clip fell out and they won''t screw back in.
